The Priory Trust is seeking the next Headteacher for Pembroke.
This is an important appointment for the academy and the wider community. Pembroke has a strong sense of its own identity. Its ethos is part of the lived experience of staff and pupils; it is not an unread poster on a reception wall. Pembroke has a clear civic commitment, seen most vividly in its work with local stakeholders, primary partners and the wider educational community. Pembroke is a valued contributor to the Trust’s family of schools in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire.
This is a substantive Headship; you will have the autonomy to lead your school operationally and strategically. To help, you will be fully supported by your colleagues in the Trust.
All new leaders join the Priory Leadership Programme. It includes mentoring, Trust induction and, alongside our Director of Learning, the co-construction of a wide-ranging school improvement offer. Each Head is supported by an HR partner and a Finance partner, as well as central Federation specialists in safeguarding, compliance, welfare, wellbeing, IT, governance and estates. The other Priory Headteachers are also a steadfast source of formal and informal support.
You will receive as much time and support as you need. We want you to be successful because we want Pembroke to continue to thrive and we want you to contribute to the exciting developments taking place in the Trust.
If you are interested in the post, you will find an unsurprisingly generic job specification and job description sitting within an online application process (details below).
If you are seriously interested in the post, we would be happy to talk with you informally and to arrange a visit during the school day. Initial contact can be made through Jo Coster, the CEO’s PA, using: [email protected].
Interviews: Monday 26th February 2024 and Tuesday 27th February 2024.
In the meantime, you will find that Pembroke has a reasonably informative website and a lively social media presence.
We very much look forward to hearing from you.
Please select Apply Online to begin your application. Please note that CVs are not accepted.
The job description and person specification can be found in the attachments.
For expressions of interest from colleagues within the Trust, please complete the internal application form on the Trust website at The Priory Federation of Academies Trust - Internal Application Form (prioryacademies.co.uk)
